Tickets are now on sale for London’s spectacular Christmas destination – Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. Returning for six exciting weeks of winter festivities with FREE admission there will be even more entertainment and new attractions than before.
Following its sell-out success last year, The Magical Ice Kingdom will return and double in size with even more breathtaking snow and ice sculptures. The largest of its kind in the UK and created especially for Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, this awe-inspiring sub-zero experience will take you through a fantastical world of real ice and snow. This year there’s even more to explore. Take a stroll through the medieval village and enter the giants’ forest. As you walk through the trees beware of the ice trolls, then join the knights to slay the evil ogre. Follow your adventure into the ice castle, walk around inside and visit the scary dungeon… Back by popular demand is the castle’s ice slide, and new this year is the Ice Bar for a quick refreshment to help you on your way. As you continue through the Ice Kingdom take a seat in the ice swan, watch the frozen jumping fish and try your luck as you kiss the frog!
The UK’s largest outdoor Ice Rink stretching will once again be located around the picturesque Victorian Bandstand, on which there will be live music played throughout the day and night as skaters take to the ice for a spin. For those who want to gaze at the action from above, the iconic Giant Observation Wheel will illuminate the skyline.
Other favourite attractions making a welcome return include Santa Land, a haven for young visitors. Jump on board the LEGO DUPLO Santa Express, experience Santa’s workshop and visit Father Christmas, who will be there every day with a sack of free gifts. There will also be over 200 chalets in the beautiful Angels Christmas & Yuletide Markets offering unusual and handmade gifts and crafts, including ceramics, candles, jewellery, wooden toys, nativity scenes and Christmas decorations.
The ever-popular Bavarian Village will be ready to serve even more bratwurst and mulled wine whilst hosting live music throughout the day and evening. In addition to the many restaurants and bars there will be delicious food available throughout the attraction to help you warm up on a cold crisp winter’s day. And for those thrill-seekers, there will be an array traditional and high energy rides.
