Richie's Top Three | January

Happy New Year everybody,
Let’s start the year off with some good events for you all.

With my numbers rolling in on the Lotto, I am off to The Boat Show at the Excel Centre. Super yachts for the squillionaires and dinghies for shark bait like me…. Uh-oh I only got three numbers on my ticket, I wonder is there an inflatables section?

Next up Burns night! For all us well-behaved Sassenachs, troop along to Burns Night dinner at The Caledonian Club. The Burns Club of London has been celebrating the occasion every year for the last 140 years. The formal dinner on January 22 will include speakers, poems, songs and two hours of ceilidh dancing for everyone! Get down there for haggis, kilts, buxom lasses and strapping Jocks!

Lastly, Christmas TV was terrible! A new Dr Who and the mystery of Sherlock Holmes death solved by a bouncy castle! Luckily repeats of Morcombe and Wise on Christmas day reminded us how great these two were and by chance, at the Vaudeville theatre the tribute show Eric n’ little Ern are playing to packed houses. A really excellent treat for the whole family and just the thing to get you through to February!

Your friend in London,
Richie
